Which side of the Park
do you want to fish?

The west side of the Park is serviced by the Grand Lake Entrance Station near the town of Grand Lake. The small beginnings of the mighty Colorado River come from within the west Park boundary. Brookies and Browns dominate the west slope.  Large Colorado River cutthroat can also be found in higher elevation lakes.

The east side of the Park is serviced by Beaver Meadows and Fall River Entrance Stations near the town of Estes.  The native and threatened Greenback Cutthroat can be found in many lakes and streams on this side of the Park.  Plenty of accessible small stream fishing is perfect for a half or full day outing.  An hour’s hike takes you to several supurb fishing locations.
